CPHI & PMEC China: A Catalyst for Global Pharma Industry Growth

With China reopening its borders to international visitors in March[1], CPHI & PMEC China will serve as a hub for over 3,000 exhibitors and more than 55,000 attendees from over 110 countries. Scheduled for June at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, the event will connect attendees with regional ingredient suppliers in the world’s largest market for pharmaceutical ingredients and starting materials. The co-located events will span 15 sectors, covering the entire supply chain, from ingredients, machinery, packaging, laboratories, and clean rooms to finished dosages and nutraceutical extracts.

The event attracts exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions, highlighting the importance of the Chinese market for global pharma industry players.

The CPHI Annual Survey[2] revealed a remarkable 25% improvement in China’s reputation for API manufacturing, positioning it alongside leading European nations like Italy and France. To foster international partnering, the Hosted Buyer Programme will return to CPHI & PMEC China, offering a targeted matchmaking service connecting international attendees with domestic and regional suppliers.

PMEC, the world’s largest pharmaceutical machinery event, boasts 1,000+ exhibitors, 30% of which are new for 2023. Attendees will explore a variety of products, such as laboratory and analytical equipment, tablet compressors, filling machines, and cutting-edge continuous manufacturing technologies.

In addition to the exhibition, CPHI & PMEC China will host over 80 conference sessions, the 12th China-World CEO Summit, the InnoPack Awards China, the China-World Innovation and Development Forum, and International Regulatory Agencies Updates. The event spans over 200,000 square meters of exhibition space and will provide a platform for networking and building trade relationships in the global pharmaceutical landscape.
