Eka Care Partners with Uber to Facilitate Downloading of Cowin Vaccination Certificates

Eka Care, a connected healthcare platform founded by former Co-Founders of Goibibo, has partnered with Uber, where the Uber customer traveling to Bengaluru & Delhi NCR airport will be able to download their Cowin Vaccine Certificate with ease.

Talking about this initiative, Abhilekh Kumar, Director of Business Development, Uber India South Asia, said,”Our association with Eka Care will enhance riders’ convenience and comfort during their rides. Now riders traveling to Delhi and Bengaluru airports can download their Cowin certificates in seconds, keeping it handy to show them to authorities. This would save them time and ensure hassle-free travel.”

Uber passengers will receive a Push Notification when their ride starts. After clicking this notification, the app will take the user to the Uber message hub inside the Uber App. Once the user clicks on the message hub notification, he will be redirected to the Eka Care App or WhatsApp number to Open/Download the vaccination certificate.

Eka Care’s partnership with UBER is now live, and the service is currently catering to Airport Drops in Delhi, NCR & Bengaluru.

Mr Deepak Tuli, Founder & COO Eka Care, said, “We are glad to partner with Uber to fight against the pandemic. Cowin Certificate has now become part of our travel, and with this association, we strive to offer convenience to Uber users. Users traveling to Airport drops in Delhi NCR & Bengaluru can now digitally carry & share their Cowin certificate with authorities in a hassle-free and secure way.”

Eka Care is the first private healthcare platform to allow the creation of ABHA under Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission (ABDM). The creation of ABHAs will standardize the process of identifying an individual across healthcare providers. The aim is to ensure that the medical records which get created are issued to the right individual or get accessed by health information users through the individual’s appropriate consent. In order to issue an ABHA to an individual, Eka Care will require basic demography and contact details and pass them on to the ABDM system. The ABHA will be used for uniquely identifying persons, authenticating them and maintaining their own and family’s health records across multiple systems and stakeholders.

Founded in December 2020, Eka Care intends to build a digitally-enabled and connected healthcare ecosystem between doctors and patients for better health outcomes.

The platform is available in 12 languages and enables every Indian family to create multiple health profiles and store health records such as vaccination charts for kids, developmental milestones, prescriptions, lab reports, scans. Eka Care, which already has over 1.2 million downloads, allows users to share records with healthcare providers. Symptoms Checker, a unique feature, enables doctors to efficiently and effectively diagnose underlying medical conditions while enhancing reporting capabilities for patients.
