Pioneering Diagnostic Chain Hosts Blood Donation Camp to Address Chronic Shortages

City X-Ray & Scan Clinic, a trailblazer in diagnostic services in Delhi, hosted a blood donation camp on World Blood Donor Day to combat the alarming blood shortage in India. The event, organized in partnership with Guru Nanak Dev Charitable Blood Centre, brought together 23 altruistic individuals who donated blood.

India faces an acute scarcity of blood, with a person requiring blood every two seconds. The lack of availability causes over 12,000 fatalities daily. Recognizing the criticality of this issue, City X-Ray & Scan Clinic leveraged its position in the healthcare community to advocate for the importance of blood donation and the imperative for safe transfusion practices.

Dr. Aakaar Kapoor, CEO and Lead Medical Advisor at City X-Ray & Scan Clinic, expressed profound gratitude to the donors. He emphasized the life-saving importance of blood donation and the necessity of adhering to safety protocols. Donors, which included the clinic’s staff, were enlightened about blood donation’s significance and were lauded with certificates of appreciation.
