The Lasting Legacy of a Young Engineer: Organ Donation Saves Seven Lives

The tragic loss of Ms. Sanjana Parthasarathi, a talented 25-year-old software engineer from Tiruchirappalli, has given a new lease of life to seven individuals. After a devastating road accident in Ramnagar, Bangalore, Ms. Sanjana’s family made the difficult decision to donate her organs, which led to the successful transplantation of her liver, kidneys, heart valves, and corneas.

In the face of unimaginable grief, Sanjana’s family chose to honor her memory by helping others. Sanjana’s parents, Mrs. P. Ganga and Mr. G. Parthasarathy, described her as a kind and compassionate person, hoping that her story would inspire more people to consider organ donation.

The organ transplant procedures were carried out at BGS Gleneagles Global Hospital in Bangalore, where the staff worked tirelessly to facilitate the donation process and support the grieving family. This story serves as a reminder of the powerful impact that organ donation can have on those in need, transforming a heartbreaking tragedy into a beacon of hope and inspiration.

Ms. Sanjana’s tragic accident also highlights the importance of road safety and proper protective gear. Ms Sarala Anantharaj, Chief Grief Counselor & Transplant Co-Ordinator at BGS Gleneagles Global Hospitals, stresses the need for wearing a full-face helmet when riding a two-wheeler to reduce the risk of severe head injuries.

By choosing to donate their daughter’s organs, Sanjana’s family has ensured that her legacy of kindness and compassion will live on, touching the lives of seven individuals who have been granted a second chance.
