Scotsman takes office as president of Rotary International from 1st July

Rotary International (RI), under new leadership, is setting an agenda to actively tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges, notably mental health and climate change. As the new RI president, Gordon McInally is championing mental health initiatives, recognizing their vital role in community well-being.

Alongside McInally, Anirudh Roy Chowdhury and T.N. Raju Subramanian from India have been appointed RI Directors for 2023-25. Roy Chowdhury, a dedicated literacy advocate, emphasizes the importance of diversity and environmental conservation. He expressed his commitment to support actions that protect natural resources, promote ecological sustainability, and build harmony between communities and the environment.

“We are committed to supporting activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources. We look forward to empowering communities to access grants and other resources, embrace local solutions, and spur innovation to address the causes and reduce the effects of climate change and environmental degradation”, Roy Chowdhury stated.
