The National Football League Alumni Association (NFLA) announced today its partnership with mobile cognitive assessment aid HitCheck. A primary mission of NFLA is to inform, assist and serve players in their post-NFL lives, with a focus on brain health. NFLA offers medical, financial, educational and social programs to keep members and their families remain healthy, productive and connected. HitCheck is available to all members of the NFLA, assisting in the mission of NFL Alumni Youth of America – NFLA’s community outreach to encourage and support safer youth sports activities.
Drawing on established medical research, HitCheck enhances standardized cognitive testing methods and translates them into short, simple mobile cognitive exercises. HitCheck captures, records and compares these objective, quantitative results with a user’s prior brain performance.
A non-profit organization, the NFLA was founded in 1967 by a small group of successful, retired NFL players. The NFLA is the oldest, most well-known and well-respected retired player organization in professional sports. Membership includes thousands of retired players, coaches, front office executives, spouses, cheerleaders, and avid fans.
The NFLA joins a list of organizations that HitCheck proudly serves including Texas Youth Football & Cheer, University of Portland, Play USA Rugby, American Youth Football, Youth Sports Nevada, and NorCal Youth Football & Cheer and Baylor Scott & White Texas Spine and Joint Hospital Tyler.
